IBM Hursley Club

The Club is happy to offer two sittings for a Christmas Lunch on Sunday 14th December 2008, for a maximum of 20 people per sitting.

Please note that you must book you place in advance. To book a place, contact the Club Stewards.

The Lunch will consist of:

Choice of starter from:

Homemade vegetable soup and a crusty roll
Deep Fried Camerbert on a bed of salad with red currant jelly
Egg, prawn mayonnaise on a bed of rocket with brown bread

Choice of Main course from:

Beef and Turkey roast with roast and new potatoes, and seasonal vegetables

The Heathcote Ensemble and friends will be playing for Children in Need during lunchtime this Friday 14 Nov, in the Jim Hayes Hall adjacent to the Clubhouse bar. There will be a bucket decorated with teddies etc. to collect contributions, and IOU's will be accepted from those who forget their cash. The Ensemble will be playing a variety of music from Bach to the Beatles, from 12:00 - 14:00.

Estee Lauder have, once again, invited IBM Hursley Club Members to an Open Day to be held at their Fareham Employee Store. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase products at 50% off the RRP across all of Estee Lauder brands. Tickets are restricted to one per adult member. This visit is subject to Estee Lauder Terms and Conditions, which all members must sign before entering the store. Further information is available from the Club Office. The tickets should arrive week commencing 3rd November.

The Clubhouse is currently undergoing refurbishment work. This includes the removal and replacement of the loft insulation in the building, the replacement of cabling and lighting facilities, and redecoration and re-carpetting of the Main Bar and Jim Hayes Hall areas,

The cabling and loft insulation work has started, and will be continuing for the next 4-6 weeks. The redecoration and re-carpetting work will be scheduled to occur after this work has been completed. There should be no major disruptions to the facilities available to members during this time.

At the clubhouse we aim to put on events over the year that appeal to the majority of our members.  We want to make sure you are aware of these events and that you feedback to us any ideas you might have for events / trips.

It is important that we support our Club so that we continue to benefit from having our own clubhouse, so take a look through these up coming events and please register your interest by calling the club office on 245933. 

Get ready to show off your dancing skills at all your Christmas Parties.

The new season of Ballroom Dance Class starts on Monday 8th September. There will be both Beginners and Improver classes.  Last year these classes proved really popular so be sure to book your place.

12 lessons with professional instructor !

Annual Subscription to dance subsection is £5 for club members £10 for guests.

Due to our very successful day in March and June, we are offering more half day taster sessions by Amews Falconry which gives a basic understanding of Birds of Prey, their training and care - whilst providing hands-on experience, holding and flying a bird. Courses will be held on Saturday 27 September from 10am to 1:30pm and cost only £45 per person. Please note the maximum number on a course is 6. The sessions will be held here at the clubhouse. Anyone interest should contact the club office, for further information.

The IBM Hursley Club serves meals in the evening until 9pm. When you purchase a meal off the Meal Board, your first drink is included in the price.
