Re-registration of members of this site.

A few of you who have previously registered with the Hursley Club site may have recently received a second email confirming your user registration and mentions that the user account is pending a second administration moderation. This email is due to a recent change to the club site to add a new club forum where ideas and comments can be discussed openly amongst club members.

The new forum, allows any registered member to post new topics, comments or suggestions about any subject related to the club. It is an open forum for us to hear from our members. To get the most from this service, the club has decided to use a tool called phpBB which is very full of features and has been around a while. In order to keep the user registrations to a minimum a 'bridge' has been made between the accounts for the main site, and that of the new forum. This bridge essentially mirrors the information in each tool and keeps them in sync together. Unfortunately, because passwords are encrypted it is not possible for us to pre-register the existing users in the new forum.

As a consequence of the changes, the club has deleted all current users in the site, and re-registered them with as much of the same information as possible. Because passwords are encrypted, this means that the new users will not have the same password as before. The email you have received provides you with an option of logging in again and setting your password. This action will be a one of action and once done you will be able to see the 'members only' forums that currently exist.

Please note that you may need to check any additional information you may have stored in the account - such as signature- to ensure that this is also in the new account.
