Running Club
IBM Hursley Running Club provides a focal point for IBM employees
interested in running in this area. Some members simply run to keep
fit, others train for and enter many races (5K, 10K, Half-Marathon,
Marathon etc.) The club is also involved in the RR10
series and membership gives you the opportunity to enter these
races at no cost. Membership of the club also includes affiliation
to the South of England Athletic
Association and Hampshire
Athletic Association which allows you to pay less
when entering races and provides insurance cover.

Beginners
If you're looking to get fitter, and you think that running might be
the thing for you, take a look at these articles on the Runner's World web site and
see if they inspire you.
If you want to find out where you can run at Hursley perhaps take a guided tour or have a look at some maps of local routes.
RR10
The RR10 league is a series of races held on Wednesday evenings, every
fortnight during the running season (April-August). Many of the local
running clubs participate and organise a race. For more information
about the league see the RR10
web site. Club contact: Alan

Guided Tours
Alasdair Hunter
and Andrew Clement have kindly agreed to conduct
some guided tours of the many routes, suitable for runners, in and
around the Hursley site. These routes vary in length and
difficulty from a 2 mile jog round the site, to an 8 mile trip to
Farley Mount. This is a great opportunity for new runners to explore
the local area ; it is also a chance for grizzled veterans to
discover new routes they did not know existed! The route chosen
and pace of the group will be dictated by the ability of those
wishing to take part on any particular occasion.
Please contact Alasdair
Hunter
directly if you
are interested in joining a tour - maps/lists of routes are available
if you want to browse them and then request a particular tour.
